BSA Suspicious Activity Report Notices Template
The update to this product is in response to FinCEN Alert FIN-2026-Alert003 entitled “FinCEN Supplemental Alert on Fuel Smuggling and Tax Evasion Schemes on the Southern Border Associated with Mexico-Based Cartels” dated 06/30/26 that advise financial institutions to be vigilant in detecting, identifying, and reporting suspicious activity connected to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), Sinaloa Cartel, Gulf Cartel, and other Mexico-based transnational criminal organizations (TCOs)—frequently referred to as the “Cartels”—smuggling gasoline, diesel, naphtha, and other fuel from the United States across the U.S. southern border or through U.S. ports into Mexico in schemes involving Mexican tax evasion known as fiscal fuel theft (huachicol fiscal). This publication supplements FinCEN’s May 2025 Alert on Oil Smuggling Schemes on the U.S. Southwest Border Associated with Mexico-Based Cartels (May 2025 Cartel Oil Smuggling Alert).
Fair Housing Act Policy Template
The update to these products is in response to the CFPB’s publication in the Federal Register entitled “Equal Credit Opportunity Act (Regulation B); Special Purpose Credit Programs; Rescission” dated 06/17/26 that rescinding an advisory opinion issued in December 2020 regarding Regulation B, which implements the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), as it applies to certain aspects of special purpose credit programs designed and implemented by for-profit organizations to meet special social needs. The advisory opinion is rescinded on June 17, 2026.
The update to this product is in response to the FedPayments Group’s Payments Security article entitled “The Art of Assessing Customer Intent: Authorized Party Fraud Trends” dated 06/26/26 that addresses fraud deliberately committed by customers and measures financial institutions can take to detect and mitigate this type of fraud.
